About the Department

Electronics and Communication Engineering is one of the most important engineering disciplines due to its role and direct impact on modern industrial revolutions in particular and the lives of people in general. The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering provides the study of various theories, technologies, and systems of electronics and communication sciences. The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering aims to bring the knowledge and skills of its graduates to compete strongly in the labor market locally and internationally, and for distinguished graduates to be able to obtain master's and doctoral scholarships in prestigious international universities like their peers in our prestigious universities.
In order to achieve this, the department always strives to continuously update its study list and teaching and learning methods and techniques to keep pace with scientific and technical development. The department also works to develop the practical side through a package of laboratories that contain the latest equipment and experiments as well as technological workshops. The department is also interested in field training for all students in various locations that enhance their practical skills.
The Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering is keen to ensure that its students master soft skills such as presentation skills and foreign language proficiency as they are among the skills required in the labor market. The department also works to establish quality assurance controls, whether at the level of graduates or at the level of scientific research outputs, linking it to societal needs, linking education to industry, and continuously updating these controls whenever necessary.
