The Vice Deanship for Community Service and Environmental Development aims to establish a strong bridge linking the scientific and academic side with the social and environmental side, which makes science a way of life, as the College of Engineering in Helwan has always been proactive in crystallizing the concept of community service and environmental development through:

Activating the role of the college in solving community issues and contributing to development issues by holding seminars, conferences and applied research projects that contribute to solving these issues.

Maintaining the safety of the internal environment of the college, protecting it from pollution, rationalizing the use of resources and activating crisis management within the college.

Encouraging and developing the awareness of faculty members, their assistants, administrative staff and students of the college on community participation and their role in protecting the environment.

Expanding the channels of partnership between the college and business organizations in order to support training and solve environmental issues.

Work to increase the satisfaction of community parties with the college's activities and build bridges of cooperation with business organizations, civil society organizations, various institutions and charitable societies with the college in solving local community issues.

Strengthening the role of units of a special nature in developing human resources inside and outside the college and qualifying them for the labor market and meeting the productive needs of the university and others.

Securing the work environment by providing security and safety requirements for human cadres and all infrastructure facilities at the college, as well as communicating with graduates to assist in continuous training and providing job opportunities for them.

Finally, the College Vice Deanship for Community Service and Environmental Development invites all community parties from civil society institutions, faculty members, assistants, workers, and students to actively participate in all activities and programs offered to achieve maximum rates of community participation to  achieve the progress we hope for.
