نبذة عن القسم
قسم الهندسة الميكانيكية بكلية الهندسة – جامعة حلوان كان هو المكون الرئيسي والحيوي منذ أن تأسست الكلية في عام 1963 تحت مسمى معهد القاهرة العالي للتكنولوجيا بحلوان في إطار عقد الاتفاق بين الحكومة المصرية وحكومة ألمانيا الغربية عام 1960. يتمتع قسم الهندسة الميكانيكية بسجل متميز في كل من التدريس والبحث العلمي من خلال الأساتذة المعلمين المتميزين والمنهج المبتكر الجذاب. هناك ثلاثة تخصصات رئيسية لقسم الهندسة الميكانيكية وهي: هندسة الإنتاج، الهندسة الصناعية وهندسة الميكاترونيات
هتم تخصص هندسة الإنتاج بعلم هندسة المواد وعمليات التشكيل والتشغيل وكذا مبادئ وأسس التصميم الميكانيكي. يتناول تخصص الهندسة الصناعية عمليات تخطيط وإدارة الإنتاج ومراقبة الجودة بالإضافة إلى منظومات الإنتاج الحديث وكيفية التحكم في العمليات الصناعية وعمليات الصيانة. ويقوم تخصص هندسة الميكاترونيات على المزج المتناغم ما بين الميكانيكا والإلكترونيات. يتناول هذا التخصص دراسة عمليات التحكم المختلفة كالتحكم في الروبوت ونظم التحكم الذكية وتطبيقات إلكترونيات القوى والمعدات الكهروميكانيكية وتطبيقات متعددة للبرمجيات في الميكاترونيات وديناميكا الروبوتات.
بناء على هذا التنوع الفريد تتنوع الأنشطة البحثية لأعضاء هيئة التدريس البالغ عددهم 60 عضوًا و40 عضو هيئة تدريس مساعدًا من الهيئة المعاونة حيث يقوم هذا الفريق الكبير بالتعاون لخدمة العملية التعليمية بالقسم والكلية لصالح أبنائنا الطلاب وذلك من خلال المعامل والورش المتوفرة بالقسم التى تقوم على النهوض بالعملية التعليمية والبحثية. تربط القسم بتخصصاته المتنوعة علاقات متميزة مع الصناعة والتي تنعكس على الطلاب من خلال الزيارات الميدانية وعمل مشاريع التخرج وكذلك التدريب الميداني.
